Cycle for Magpas Success: 150 miles cycled and £395.11 raised

Gibbs Denley Team PhotoOn Friday 1st July 2016, the staff of Gibbs Denley took to the road (well, two exercise bikes) to raise money for Magpas Air Ambulance charity.

At the start of the day we had a target of 80 miles – the distance between our offices in Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds and Chelmsford. We smashed through that target hours ahead of schedule, and rather than stopping we just kept going. We cycled a whopping 150 miles in the end – all the way to Chelmsford and then back again!

On the day we raised £395.11 for Magpas, thanks to the generous support of the Gibbs Denley staff as well as kind donations of the general public.

Throughout the day we shared the stories of several people who had been saved by the hard work of the Magpas team. You can follow the journey here.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Swavesey Village College and One Leisure St Ives (who donated the bikes for the day), So Scrumptious Café (who provided a venue and sustenance) and Magpas themselves for their support in organising it.
