MARKETING ASSISTANT / EXECUTIVE APPRENTICE

About the role

Supporting the marketing function within the Operations Team. Based at head office in Swavesey, with occasional visits to our other offices in Bury St Edmunds and Chelmsford.

What you’ll be doing

You will be working within the Operations Team, assisting and delivering core marketing activities at the company. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Assist with devising and implementing marketing plans and strategies for the group
  • Help plan and implement social media activity, as well as promoting group news and events
  • Support the company’s print and digital marketing content creation
  • Ongoing maintenance of the company’s website, including updating content, ensuring functionality works, maintaining SEO and liaising with the agency as required
  • Design, produce and update print and digital marketing materials
  • Using relevant marketing software/systems, including email, design and video
  • Provide support with PR activity and initiatives
  • Produce and distribute bulk email campaigns using Mailchimp or other email software
  • Help manage and promote the company’s brand across the group
  • Liaise with external suppliers such as web agencies, marketing agencies, printers, filmographers and photographers
  • Create briefs and provide ongoing support throughout projects / campaigns
  • Monitor campaign analytics and collect data, including client feedback
  • Maintain marketing administration activities such as managing the supply of marketing literature, supporting the procurement of, and overseeing the delivery of work by external and internal marketing suppliers
  • Monitor marketing budget
  • Assist with projects in the Operations Team

Who we are looking for:

A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • A keen interest in marketing
  • Creative, and has an eye for visual and graphic design
  • Enthusiasm for social media
  • Some experience working in a client / customer focused position and is a ‘people’ person
  • Excellent administration, written / verbal communication skills and organisational skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to work alongside a friendly team of dedicated individuals
  • Able to work proactively
  • Ability to work in a busy working environment and meet deadlines
  • Possesses a keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Interested in gaining professional qualifications in marketing

As part of your development, you may study the following through the Cambridge Marketing College, depending on your age and previous experience:

Entry Requirements

Entry requirements are as follows:

Level 3 CIM Qualification:

  • 5 GCSEs grade A-C or Grade 4+ (including Maths and English)
  • 2 A Levels grade A-C or equivalent

Level 4 CIM Qualification:

  • 5 GCSEs grade A-C or Grade 4+ (including Maths and English); and
  • 2 A Levels grade A-C or equivalent; and
  • A degree

SSAS Specialist – Cambridge Office

We are looking for a proactive individual to work within our technical team based in our Cambridge office, who will administer all aspects predominantly of our SSASs. The ideal candidate:

  • Must be experienced in SSAS administration
  • Knowledge of group schemes preferable, but not essential
  • Able to use initiative and confidently manage own workload
  • Must be comfortable working independently within the team
  • Service orientated with a general interest in providing an exceptional client experience
  • Good interpersonal skills are a must, as is working alongside a friendly team of dedicated individuals
  • Willing to work with advisers to actively develop the SSAS book
  • Excellent organisational and written / verbal communication skills
  • Possess a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to both interpret and produce technical information from HMRC and TPR
  • Highly proficient in Excel
  • Ability to work in a busy working environment and meet deadlines
  • Interested in gaining professional qualifications in Financial Services
